Continuation of the route to Ramena where we will visit the local fishing village close to the beach.
After a stop we will continue the journey towards Cap Minhé, where the entrance lighthouse in the bay of Diego and the remains of the military fortifications from which the French dominated the bay reside.
During the photo stop we will be able to see in the background the famous bay with the Emerald sea.

We will continue with our jeep the path to the Bay of Pigeons, a beautiful deserted bay with crystal clear turquoise waters, and where just a 5-minute walk on foot you can also visit the Bay of Dunes, and in both cases we can enjoy the clear waters to cool off.

After a refreshing stop in these waters we will embark again to continue towards Sakalava Bay, renowned for being one of the first spots for kite-surfing, white sand, clear water, wild lemurs and a charming restaurant where we will stop for lunch. .
In the afternoon we will continue the evocative path along the coast of the bay up to the Mountain of French, where along the way there are several centenary Baobabs, a photo stop to immortalize these centuries-old trees.

Return to Diego Suarez where we can make a small stop in the city for shopping before returning to the hotel.

Tips
  • Transport and facilities in Madagascar are not necessarily of the standard usually found in developed countries.
  • The local boats used in this excursion are generally quite small, so there is a risk that participants will get wet.
  • To participate in this excursion you must be able to swim.
  • As such, we do not recommend this excursion to guests who have back problems or who are otherwise not at peak fitness.
  • Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, since they depend on the behavior of the animals themselves or according to weather and sea conditions.
  • The color of the water and the visibility may vary depending on the weather.

  • Do not forget to bring your swimsuit, towels, sunglasses, sun cream, insect repellent for walks inside or adjacent to the forest/parks, your camera, and a long-sleeved, cotton top during the bath/snorkeling/trekking.
  • Toilets will be of local standards.
  • The excursion may be subject to variations in timing according to weather and sea conditions. Remember that the coral reef and everything that lives in it are really delicate, the PH of our skin is more acidic than the carapace of turtles, fish skin and corals, so if we touch them we risk contaminating them and causing them to die. All of us, guests of the Ocean, help us to introduce the next generation to the magical life of the coral reef.
